It has been a busy couple of months, which is why this page has not been updated in a while. Despite the early appearance of Vyvian's teething symptoms, she still has a gummy, toothless grin. She sits perfectly well on her own now and can even get herself into a sitting position if she wants. Her most recent change has been the ability to stand so long as she has something to hold on to. We are also expecting the momentous first word within a month or two. She appears to be working on her 'mmmm' sounds. Perhaps her first word will me 'mum'? Of course, she will mostly likely prove us wrong, which appears to be her favorite hobby so far.

Vyvian has had quite the busy month. The teething symptoms are only getting more pronounced but we have no idea if the end will be soon because we still can't actually see any teeth. Teething is not our friend.

She experienced her first thunder storm a couple of weeks ago. I was a little worried it might scared her but luckily she is like her parents and thinks they are the coolest thing in the world.

Two major developmental markers have happened in the last month. A few weeks ago she rolled over on her own for the first time and just the other day she sat unsupported for the first time. People say television doesn't help with a child's development but it was her desire to get in a good position to watch her favorite show, Rolie Polie Olie, that motivated her to manage sitting. She appears to be a couch potato in training.

The website style has been tweaked and the code has been validated and tested in IE7, Mozilla, Firefox, and Opera. However, I have not tested in all versions of these programs or in a Mac environment (only PC). If you come across any problems, please let us know so that we can fix it. The exceptions to this are the photo galleries aside from Vyvian's. Those galleries have yet to be completed or uploaded.

Vyvian's gallery has been updated. Several photos have been added to the Two Month and Three Month galleries. Her videos have also been updated.

She had her first doctor's check up in the beginning of May (she had been examined by our birth attendant for the first 6 weeks). She has been given a clean bill of health. Unfortunately, her teething symptoms have started in full force and she has become Miss Drooly and Cranky. We can't actually see the teeth yet but we are hoping for everyone's happiness that they push through soon. She has been trying to turn herself over without much success but her strength is growing every day. She can almost sit on her own without much help at all.

We have uploaded the photos we have from Vyvian's 10th and 11th weeks. She is doing really well so far. She has completely grown out of 3 month old sizes and is into the 6 month sizes. She had her first nap that actually involved being put to sleep in the crib and waking up in the crib. There are a few photos from this event. We also think she is getting the first teething symptoms. As a result, she has taken to a teething toy one of her grandmothers gave her. There is a picture of her asleep in her swing with it because she fell asleep while sucking on it. She is grasping very well and her sounds are becoming more and more articulate. Sometimes her baby chatter fakes us out, making us think she has said something. One of her sounds is distinctly like "yeah" and she has started adding the sound "boo" to her jabbering.

We haven't had time to upload her videos yet, but we hope we will be able to soon.

We have uploaded our most recent photographs of Vyvian (up to the end of her 9th week). We are hoping to upload her videos in the next week or so. Eventually, we may also upload other family photos.
